Why American College?
Becoming a part of the American College family guarantees a unique learning experience. Our student body consists of students from all over the world, who bring varying viewpoints and experiences into the classroom. As the world continues to get smaller, thanks to communication and travel advancements, the diversity of our student body helps prepare our students for the international workplace they will enter upon graduation.
Personalized Approach
Perhaps one of American College's best attributes is our small size, which allows for a high level of personalized attention for every student. A large part of our approach is the unique Academic Learning Center at both campuses that offers supplemental program support in the academic and social realms. The Learning Center introduces study strategies, social activities and behavioral plans to establish successful living and learning environments for our students. The Center provides more mentoring, tutoring and academic accommodation than is offered by most colleges and universities.
Individualized Support
In order to ensure the students' academic goals are within reach, the Academic Learning Center provides tutors who have expertise in specific academic areas. Additionally, every student is assigned a mentor when they arrive on campus. The student and the mentor meet weekly to discuss any issues or problems that the student may have encountered. This supportive relationship helps each student to develop confidence in future career undertakings.
Learning Through Experience
The strong academic foundation of our degree programs is designed to encourage an eagerness to learn that will remain with our students for the rest of their lives. Furthermore, an internship requirement provides our graduates with practical work experience and the skills needed to achieve their individual goals.
